As an interior design photographer, I am photographing luxury home in South Florida, Northern Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC. It’s easy to get distracted with the beautiful details. In order to keep my ‘visual thoughts’ organized, I have a specific process I follow on every shoot. In the intricate art of architectural photography, one element stands out as a crucial component: lighting.

This beautiful condo just outside of Washington DC has been expertly designed by Basma Interiors.

Pairing deep crimson with white walls and cream molding creates a beautiful space in this DC renovation by Barley & Barley.

This amazing home renovation was the designed and built by Custom Design Tile. While the home had a great location relative to the city, the footprint was small and did not work well modern families. Custom Design Tile fixed these flaws and the result is stunning!

A bright white kitchen has a dark blue island with waterfall edges, modern black and gold drum fixtures and rustic bar stools. A second blue island sits in the center of the work space and offers plenty of countertops for a family of six to be together in the kitchen.

Photographed another beautiful project with Home Joy Designs! The bedroom was plagued by supply chain issues and shipping delays but it was worth the wait. The subtle colors and various textures create a beautiful master retreat.

The major paint companies have announced various shades of green as the color of the year for 2022. So let’s get some inspiration for ways to use the color green in your next design project.

The homeowners of this new build employ the design experience of Bummer Lamb Interiors to create a cohesive and comfortable main level.

What a treat! I loved photographing this amazing, modern condo in Washington DC. The designer renovated the entire two level home in a strict black and white palette with sleek modern finishes.

This boys room is painted in a bold green and balance with plenty of natural light. Large black and white art prints from Andy Warhol play well with the MCM furniture in the space. Large closets and attached bathroom are great but not nearly as cool as the bright red ladder that leads to a crawl-space turned clubhouse for a boy’s large lego collection!

Beautiful white kitchen in Florida lets the outside in through it’s expansive windows and open layout. The huge island is perfect for large parties and intimate meals with the family. Honey colored floors, brass accents and salvaged antiques give warmth to the all white kitchen space.

This old row house got a facelift; while respecting the past, the design team from Lisa and Leroy injected sophisticated style into this living and dining rooms.

It was so fun to photograph this mama with her girls. I have watched Bridgit and Shannon grow up for years and am so excited to see them pursue their interests as they head off to college. Mom came prepared for a beautiful headshot also so we got stunning a mother daughter portrait!

This beautiful couple bought a new home to take them to and through their retirement years. They hired Grace Thomas Designs to create a coordinated great room, cozy enough for just the two of them but still large enough for the extended family to visit.

High school senior shoot in Leesburg, Virginia at sunset in October. We chose a location that offered rustic and refined buildings but also a beautiful field as well. This allowed for a large variety in images for my senior and her family to choose from!
